I never saw this problem myself. Could you please run these commands and 
post the output?

$ ldd /usr/X11R6/bin/glxinfo
$ ls -l /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so*
$ ls -l /usr/share/fglrx/diversions/
$ /usr/sbin/dpkg-divert --list "*libGL*"
