I think we shouldn't as long as they supply a binary version. I don't want to introduce different binaries that might be better, but might as well be worse and I don't want to prove which way it goes today. 8-/

when you release next version, please clean the source package a little too:

- debian/fglrx-4.3.0-control-qt2

Killed altogether. Qt2 is no longer available in testing/unstable anyway.

Ooops... those really weren't supposed to be there.

I'm also attaching 2 small patches for debian/rules, that you might find usefull;

I don't have an epoch in the version yet. ;)

load on a 2.6.9-rc1-mm2 and higher -mm kernels; [...]

I won't switch to a kernel above 2.6.7 on my workstations until CD writing is fixed (and I don't want to know if it's a kernel bug or a cdrecord/cdrdao/whatever problem, just let me know when it works again) so I don't care very much about this issue. If you can fix it, I'll gladly accept patches of course.
