Your version is easier to read, so it has my vote; I'm wondering if we should not

I think we shouldn't as long as they supply a binary version. I don't
want to introduce different binaries that might be better, but might as
well be worse and I don't want to prove which way it goes today. 8-/
when you release next version, please clean the source package a little too:
- debian/fglrx-4.3.0-control-qt2
Killed altogether. Qt2 is no longer available in testing/unstable anyway.
- new-* and old-* [...]
Ooops... those really weren't supposed to be there.
I'm also attaching 2 small patches for debian/rules, that you might find usefull;
I don't have an epoch in the version yet. ;)
there is a patch on rage3d.org forums that enables the drm module to compile and
load on a 2.6.9-rc1-mm2 and higher -mm kernels; [...]
I won't switch to a kernel above 2.6.7 on my workstations until CD
writing is fixed (and I don't want to know if it's a kernel bug or a
cdrecord/cdrdao/whatever problem, just let me know when it works again)
so I don't care very much about this issue. If you can fix it, I'll
gladly accept patches of course.
