These errors are harmless, I have them in my logs too (and always have,
as far as I can remember).
Fatal server error:
__glXExtensionInit: AddExtensions failed
Then X exits.
Please attach your XFree86 configuration file and log file.
Setup:
debian sid
xserver-xfree86 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8
I'm upgrading from -7 to -8 right now, let's see if this makes any
difference.
I found that the libGLcore.a was compiled with
GCC: (GNU) 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-13), while the fglrx_drv.o
was compiled with GCC: (GNU) 3.3.3.
Could this be the cause of the problem?
No it shouldn't be a problem, it's the same here.
