Try this Modules section listed by Alexandru in a recent message. It 
helped another user to get his driver working.

    Option "omit xfree86-dga"
  EndSubSection
  Load  "freetype"
  Load  "type1"

Please attach your XFree86 log file (/var/log/XFree86.0.log) if you are 
still having problems.
