No, my packages should replace libGL.so automatically. But it appears 
that they didn't in your case.

You should probably try uninstalling and reinstalling the fglrx-driver 
package, like this:

  dpkg --force-depends --purge fglrx-driver
  dpkg --install /path/to/fglrx-driver_8.8.25-1_i386.deb

Pay close attention to any messages that may appear during uninstall and 
reinstall, maybe there was an error and you didn't notice.
