The next ldconfig run will link libGL.so.1 to libGL.so.1.2.old again
because it interprets the .old suffix as a patchlevel. You need to move
the backup away or at least rename it to something that doesn't start
with libGL.so.1.2, e.g. libGL-bak.so.1.2 .
