Hi.
Feel free to CC me. I am not hiding, but reserve the right to not
respond if I am too busy :).
There is the MonitorLayout option which allows you to overwrite the
default detection.
You may want to try
Option "MonitorLayout" "TMDS,AUTO"
In the release in about two months, we should detect some LVDS/TMDS
monitors more correctly. YMMV, please provide feedback.
Regards,
Matthew

This looks suspiciously like what happens on my Radeon 8500 LE: the DVI
connector simply doesn't work with fglrx, but in my case the monitor is
not even detected (the monitor, connector and TMDS type all say "none").
I'm sure it's not a hardware problem, because the DVI connector works
just fine with the Windows driver and with the Linux text mode console.
Matthew, I'm BCCing you in the hope that you can forward this to the
right engineer. I already reported this months ago using the feedback
form, someone replied and I convinced him that he should forward it to
the Linux team if possible, but I never got an answer.
