Uh... Of course it was updated, otherwise the packages wouldn't have 
been generated with the correct version. Maybe you didn't erase an old 
copy of /usr/src/modules/fglrx-kernel-src? Or, if you used 
module-assistant, ~/src/modass/usr_src/modules/fglrx-kernel-src?
