i.e. fglrx_ only_ affects libGL.so* ?
Yes, that's how it looks in my working setup, except that I have files
in /usr/share/fglrx/diversions as well. I don't think that matters,
since those files are only stowed away there anyway.
However, dpkg -L fglrx-driver will show you a few files under
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri.
I will try the debian kernel and see if it works. I am a little bit
confused because there aren't any errors.
I'm out of ideas, so I hope that works :-)
just a question: I remember from nvidia cards that they move the
libGLcore* and libGLU*, thus MESA is moved and replaced by the nvidia
stuff. How is it for ATI ? Is it just a kernel module and the rest goes
out-of-the-box from XFree ?
I don't know about this, but it wouldn't surprise me if the nVidia
drivers replace more.
I hope you figure this out somehow. Remember to tell the list the
solution if you do :-)
