Hello
Thanks a lot for your message. The way you described to correct the error
worked perfectly for me. I am using software suspend 2 with the fglrx driver
on an IBM Thinkpad T40p now, and everything is working fine.
Now I can get on trying to get that damn tv-out to work ;)

Hi,
I've just recently found a solution to this problem (other than commenting
out Load glx in X config file and losing 3D acceleration).
You have to install the "vbetool" package and use it to save/restore the
video card state. To do so you just have to uncomment "EnableVbetool yes"
in /etc/hibernate/hibernate.conf.
I've only tested it with kernel 2.6.10, Flavio's packaged ATI drivers and
swsusp2 (patch at http://www.suspend2.net/) on a IBM Thinkpad T42p. Please
note that swsusp2 is MUCH faster than the kernel swsusp.
Best Regards,
