I want to watch my movies (dvd and divx) on my TV, but I couldn't figure
out how to configure XF86Config-4. Well, actually I already did that,
but not the way I want it. I explain: to display the X desktop on TV, I
have to manually switch the XF86Config file (configured for TV) and
restart X. But when I'm gonna watch my movies, I cannot use the XV
extension. The video simply refuse to display on TV (that doesn't occur
on the LCD), the screen of the player becomes black (not the whole
desktop or the player itself, just where the video is supposed to show).
Try Option "OverlayOnCRTC2".
So, there are some tasks I would like to accomplish:
1- a XF86Config file working for LCD (1152x864) and TV (clone mode
800x600). Is that possible, or my LCD must also be 800x600?
That shouldn't be necessary, but you'll have to elaborate a little on
how you'd like the TV to behave vs. the LCD.
2- I don't know if it's possible, but I would like to make that "Fn+F12"
key work for switching between LCD and TV (just like err... windows :P)
This might be difficult because those hotkeys are usually handled by the
BIOS, I'm not sure the driver can intervene.
