Re: Fwd: Problem while starting the XFree86 server after loadi ng the ATI module

You are right, i wasnt loading the agpgart module, and here is my
kernel output now:

Linux agpgart interface v0.99 (c) Jeff Hartmann
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 380M
agpgart: Detected ATI IGP9100/M chipset
agpgart: AGP aperture is 32M @ 0xea000000
[fglrx] Maximum main memory to use for locked dma buffers: 372 MBytes.
[fglrx] module loaded - fglrx 8.12.10 [Apr 4 2005] on minor 0

The thing is, that the X server doesnt crash anymore, it actually
starts, but the kdm login screen never shows up now, i uncommented
with the Option "NoDDC" to see if it was a resolution problem, but it
was no good.
I also changed the Option "UseInternalAGPGART" to both settings, no luck.

Maybe i have to set an specific resolution or something? I dont want
to give up with this...

Make sure that internal AGP is actually enabled (check the kernel
output).
