I was browsing through the changelog of X.org, and I found the project Xdmx (http://dmx.sourceforge.net/). It is used to combine multiple X servers to one screen, usually for video-walls etc. Since the Ati drivers have a '2 X-servers mode', I thought Xdmx might be used to combine these two servers to one dual-screen display. It's a long shot, and I'm probably missing some critical details, but does anyone know if this might work?
