I didn't test with 2.6.12 yet, feedback is welcome.
it works out of the box commenting out the HorizSync and VertRefresh
monitor options to xorg.conf. Control panel compiles correctly also with
the new libqt3-mt-dev package.
System:
Centrino 1600
ATi Mobility Radeon 9700
Debian unstable
-
linux-source 2.6.12-5
xserver-xorg 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5
Enlightenment DR17 - CVS version
Average FPS (unload system):
glxgears: ~2000
fgl_glxgears: ~420
planetpenguin: ~36 (plus CPU bounces to 100%)
Anyway, it seems that whenever my system does calls to OpenGL subsystem,
the CPU have to do all the dirty work, 'cause it bounces always to 100%;
I don't know if it's an issue related to my card (being a laptop card).
Also, I never used composite or randr extensions (my laptop's screen
looks awfully if I don't set resolution to 1400x1050, and composite
takes not less than 70% of my CPU).
