Problems with composite extension

Hi,
I've created the 8.16.20 fglrx driver packages (many thanks to the Flavio
for the great work) for my debian sid machine (with a vanilla self-compiled
2.6.13 kernel). Everything seems to work ok and I've got an usable system.
My problems come when I try to use the composite extension with xcompmgr. If
I set the composite extension in xorg.conf and set "xcompmgr -Cc" in an
xterm then all my screen comes to garbage (especially the interior of the
xterm windows) and everything is not refreshed properly. lspci reports my
card as a:
0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 Lf
[FireGL 9000] (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [VGA])
¿Has somebody been able to use composite and the ati driver? using it with
the "radeon" driver is OK but way tooo slow.. :-(
