hello,
This is the problem, change CONFIG_DRM to m or n.
Thank you. Yes, you are totally rigth.
And the most terrible for me is that I read Flavio's page and
it is clear and I have no idea why I miss it ! no excuse.
root# modprobe fglrx
root# dmesg |tail
[fglrx] module loaded - fglrx 8.16.20 [Aug 16 2005] on minor 0
root# uname -a
root# Linux amd64 2.6.13 #3 Thu Sep 15 21:43:29 CEST 2005 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Then I successfully install fglrx-driver pakage and then manage
to run X.
the fglrxinfo says :
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 4.0.4
Falvio's doc says : it means that there is a problem
But for the moment, I don't really see the problem. I guess I have no
OpenGL acceleration, but I don't use it yet.
So, I will see later. At least, I passed first step of installation.
and I already have the feeling X is better....OK, OK maybe because I'm a bit happy.
I'm off until middle next week, so, I will try to understand "OpenGL acceleration"
next week.
For info, I have asus Extreme AX300SE HM card.
Thanks everyone.
