Hi, This is not-technical question. Yesterday my video card blew forever (it was a Nvidia), I'll buy a new one, and it will be an ATI card (I have been using ATI cards and I love them). However, I'd like to hear suggestions for ATI cards? I'm looking for an AGP card that supports TV-OUT. By the way, 30% of the time play 3D games (Wolfstein under Linux) and 70% I hack on PHP, so I don't need the super-card only for playing video games. * How about 9600? Any comments? I'd like to hear comments about other ATI cards or about the quality of 9600 under Linux. Cheers, Pablo
Hi well after my nvidia card blew, i bought a ati x800 and i'm quite happy with it (well i would have liked to buy a pcie system...my mb blew 3 days before the card and so i bought the new system agp...shit happens) about the only thing is that every kernel update is a bit triky on my amd64 system...i never now if it works before i try it... but since i don't play that much at the moment it is not that a big problem (X comes up but neither 3D or video acceleration works after some updates) yours Albert -- Albert Dengg <a_d at gmx dot at>
