Hey all,
First of all, please forgive the long message but from what I have
read on the web thus far, the included information is usually what is
asked for in these instances. Second of all...
I'm at my wit's end trying to get my ATI Radeon 9000 AGP card working
with the above configuration. I've followed Flavio's excellent
instructions for installing the fglrx drivers on a Debian system
(http://xoomer.virgilio.it/flavio.stanchina/debian/fglrx-installer.html)
and I still cannot get the fglrx driver recognized by Xorg. The
/var/log/Xorg.0.log simply states at the end:
<snip>
Section "Module"
Load "GLcore"
Load "bitmap"
Load "dbe"
Load "ddc"
Load "dri"
Where is your Load "extmod"
# Load "extmod" but omit DGA extension
SubSection "extmod"
Option "omit xfree86-dga"
EndSubSection
Load "freetype"
Load "glx"
Load "int10"
You want to comment out the "int10" (at least that's what I had to do).
Load "record"
Hi Rick,
A couple of things I noticed about your xorg.conf file indicated above.
I don't know if they'll solve the problem but they may at least get you
more info.
Cheers,
Jonathan
