fglrx and suspend2 (with vbetool enabled)

Hello!
I have a problem with resuming from suspend2 while under XF86
(no problems with console mode).
I have tried enabling vbetool, even UseDummyServer in hibernate.conf.
I use vanilla linux 2.6.13.4 patched with suspend2 (2.2-rc7-for-2.6.13),
and fglrx-kernel-src_8.16.20 etc, which separately work fine.
I installed debian Sarge vbetool 0.3-1.
After resuming, I got messed up x11 screen; even if I suspend in
a text console, resuming goes well, but after Ctrl-Alt-F7 the laptop
freezes (ping works, but ssh does not-I have to keep the power button
pressed for a while in order to get a reboot).
Laptop is a Compaq evo n800w (Pentium 4 M)
(--) fglrx(0): Chipset: "MOBILITY RADEON 9000 (M9 4C66)" (Chipset = 0x4c66)
hibernate.conf is attached below (slight modification from what I got in
hibernate_1.10-1_all.deb).
Is there something obvious I missed?
This is my first experience with suspend2 and vbetool.
Any help would be appreciated.
