Hi,
I just wanted to say thank you :)
The docs are superb and everything went fine.
Two small things that you could improve a tiny little bit:
- in the apt-get install kernel-sources-x.y.z step, you could add a note to
get the sources from
http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/vx.y/linux-x.y.z.tar.bz2 (replace x.y and
x.y.z with the proper version). First I tried to find a deb package mirror
which has the 2.6.10 sources, until I gave up and got them from
kernel.org...
- in step 4. please make the last note a little larger (about steps 4.1-..
being alternatives). I was quite tired and it took a few moments until I
understood that I only had to do one of those sub steps.
Here my specs if you want to add them to the list:
Debian distro, kernel version, xfree86 version, fglrx version, ati model,
CPU, chipset, FPS in demo, user, notes
Sarge
2.6.10
4.30
8.18.6-1
FireGL Mobility V3200
Pentium M 1.86 GHz
IBM T43p, intel 915 GM
~508

Doom3-demo works and I can't wait to develop my own volumetric lighting apps
with opengl/shaders on my new notebook :)
Thanks again
