lintian/linda warnings for fglrx-installer package

Hello all,

First thanks for the work to Flavio and everybody else supporting the
fglrx-installer package.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to decrease the amount of warnings
and errors lintian and linda throw. There are a lot of
"non-standard-dir-perm" warnings, which could be fixed(?). Then there
are no man-pages for almost every binary, which is included in the
fglrx-* packages. Another thing I found is, the
file /usr/share/gnome/fireglcontrol.desktop is part of
fglrx-control-qt3. This file is a) for GNOME and b) outdated and
obsolete. On the other hand, there
is /usr/share/applnk/fireglcontrol_kde3.desktop, which is for old KDE 3
desktops. GNOME and KDE currently support the freedesktop.org-standards,
so I think, the package should provide only one .desktop file, which
works for KDE and GNOME. I attached such a file, which should fit all
freedesktop.org standards (except the icon line - but this needs some
more work and icons). This file can/should be installed
into /usr/share/applications/kde. Translations can be added.

So is there any interest in fixing more lintian/linda warnings, e.g. the
manpages-warnings? It would be nice to have a bit more info. I remember
that there was also a question for a better documentation of the
fglrx-module options. This could also be done via a man-page fglrx(4x).

I hope, you don't feel under constraint. I first want to know if there
is any interest. If yes, I would also offer my help wherever I am able
to help.

Regards, Daniel
