I think this patch also should go to 8.16 because 8.18 needs libc6 2.3.5 and sarge has 2.3.2. upgrading to etch or unstable because of this driver isn't ok I think. In my opinion the fglrx-*_8.16.20-1 packages should be updated to 8.16.20-2, what do you think?
Ah, I think you'll find that 8.18 for XFree86 depends on libc6 2.3.2
because it was built on sarge (in a sarge chroot to be exact). See
http://www.stanchina.net/~flavio/debian-fglrx-xfree86/Packages
And anyway, I don't have the resources to build packages for all the
possible combinations of XFree86/X.Org, Debian version (woody, sarge, etch,
sid, whatever) and fglrx version. Those who need specific versions can
build their own easily, the instructions are on my site and I'm adding a
more detailed explanation right now.
