i'd second this (x600 and xorg 6.9 on amd64 sid). apart from some compiler warnings everything worked fine.I have apparently installed with success version 8.22.5 of ati driver on my laptop equipped with a AMD Turion 64. Since debian packages of fglrs for amd64 aren't yet available in amd64 repositories, I have generated them from the ati installer with the command "ati-driver-installer-8.22.5-x86_64.run --buildpkg Debian/sid" an it has worked without problems.
however, i have one question - glxgears and fgl_glxgears give really different fps's (100 and 500, respectively). why is the value for glxgears so small? i'd expect fgl_glxgears to be tuned for ati cards, but 5-fold difference? i know that both programs draw different things on the screen, however fgl_glxgears do (in my opinion) much more work in significantly less time...
i'd be very glad if someone could shed some light to this. regards, lubos -- Lubos _ at _"
