Re: Kernel version question

..and when I'll get the kernel-image, I have to insert it in the [make-kpkg --append-to-version .....] command?! And in that command I have to use the
older kernel source or I need to use the 2.6?

i do not know make-kpkg (build my kernel always with make ...).
but i think you only need to install the image with apt-get (or synaptics or another frontend) and the header-files. after that you may easily build the deb-packages from the at-installer (search the archive for instructions), install them and build the kernel-module with the module-assistant (again, see the archive).

maybe one of the users of make-kpkg or debian-images around here has some remarks, i don't no whether the prefabricated debian-iamges require special handling.
