I assume you're talking about official packages.
I hope the amd64 autobuilder will eventually build them. I guess it still
has a backlog of more important packages, but I see X.Org and KDE have been
built now, so there shouldn't be many big packages left.
If you want to build packages and make them available, you're of course
free to do so. I would expect that a Debian developer can upload binary
packages to the official archive if he wants to, without waiting for the
autobuilder.
There seem to be some problems with missing build dependencies and so
on.
Really? That's entirely possible, but it's a bug and you should report it
to the Debian BTS.
